Guests and volunteers learn by doing and share their talents with others. We offer activities appropriate for all ages: individuals and families, youth and community groups are welcome.

Oregon Arbor WeekCelebrate Trees with a Ten Trees Tour: learn the names and stories of at least ten native trees growing at Hopkins Demonstration Forest. 90-minute walking tours follow a 1 ½ mile route on forest roads and trails. Schedule a tour for your class, community group or family; or download the Hopkins Trees List and guide your own tour.

Community Forestry Day - Trail Tenders
After a long winter our trail network of almost five miles needs our attention. Other projects on our to-do list this month may include spring cleaning around our Shop and Hopkins Hall.
8:30 am Team leaders arrive, volunteers assemble
9:00 am Volunteer teams begin projects
Noon Lunch- please call ahead so we know to expect you
1:00 pm Volunteer projects continue
2:00 pm Tour participants can enjoy walking on freshly maintained trails; 90-minutes; some walking on rough ground.
4:00 pm Put tools away and clean up
