April is a wonderful month to visit our woodland—it’s the time when our forest awakens from winter—conifer buds burst open and songbirds keep you company in our forest. You really have to come experience these spring sensations for yourself!

*6-12 Arbor Week - Celebrate Trees with a
Ten Trees Tour: learn the names and stories of at least ten native Oregon trees growing at Hopkins Demonstration Forest. 90-minute walking tours follow a 1 ½ mile route on forest roads and trails.
Scheduled tours begin at 10:00 am, and 2:00 pm, other times by arrangement. Schedule a tour for your group or family, or download the Hopkins Trees List to guide your own tour.
*12 Community Forestry Day - Trail Construction: We are expanding our trail network this year, hoping to add almost three miles of new walking routes. Other projects on our to-do list this month include ….
